A rare offset lithograph of Van Gogh's Nude Woman Reclining (1887).  Van Gogh presumably made three other, similar nudes in quick succession: a pencil drawing and two paintings. The same model appears to have posed in all the works. This is probably Agostina Segatori, owner of the café Le Tambourin on the Boulevard du Clichy, with whom Van Gogh had a brief relationship. This charming and artful rendering of the female form is hand tipped onto a heavy sheet of paper with lovely signs of patina. A rare treasure.

Vincent Willem van Gogh (1853-1890) was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who posthumously became one of the most famous and influential figures in Western art history. In a decade, he created about 2,100 artworks, including around 860 oil paintings, most of which date from the last two years of his life.

7 3/8" x 4 1/4" image on 14" x 10" heavy paper.
