Manet's "Boating." I grew up with a large poster reproduction of this work of art hanging over our futon couch in the living room. I have a soft spot for this piece and love that the imagery recalls family dance parties and birthdays past.

Print from a 1958 Metropolitan Seminars in Art volume.
