Bouquet with Flying Lovers is a painting by Marc Chagall. The work is oil on canvas. According to Chagall himself, he started working on the painting in the 1930s when he lived in Paris, and he finished the work when he was mourning the death of his wife Bella.
Marc Chagall (1870-1985) was a Russian-French artist. An early modernist, he was associated with the École de Paris as well as several major artistic styles (Surrealism, Cubism, Modern Art, Expressionism, Fauvism, Symbolism, Modernism, and School of Paris)and created works in a wide range of artistic formats, including painting, drawings, book illustrations, stained glass, stage sets, ceramics, tapestries and fine art prints.
