A vintage 1960 tipped in art print of the abstract work La Turquoise (1947) by Wols. Image hand tipped-in on a sheet of heavy paper and affixed to chipboard backing for maximum ease of styling and propping.

Wols (1913-1951) was the pseudonym of Alfred Otto Wolfgang Schulze, a German painter and photographer predominantly active in France. Though broadly unrecognized in his lifetime, he is considered a pioneer of lyrical abstraction, one of the most influential artists of the Tachisme movement.
