Vintage 1950 hand tipped in lithograph of Picasso’s Still Life (1938).

Commentary on the work circa 1950:

STILL LIFE (1938). Picasso, who has just exhibited his Guernica, has entered on his so-called "fantastic" period. He is haunted by strange visions, conjuring up the myths of antiquity in forms at once epic and grandiose. But he needs sometimes to give his imagination a rest, by treating realistic subjects, as in the case of this still life which he seems to have "dashed off" in a few inspired minutes.

9.5” x 8.15" lithograph hand tipped in on thick 11.75” x 10" paper.
