Kapha personifies heavy, slow, cool, oily, soft and viscous characteristics. Ruled by the elements of water and earth, this dosha expresses calmness, smoothness and steadiness when in balance. When out of balance kapha is prone to sluggishness, immovability, and attachment.
We balance kapha by using herbs and oils that are warming, light and awakening to inspire forward momentum.
USAGES
Pre-Shower Abhyanga (self-massage) Usage: After morning meditation, rub on body in circular motions starting with feet working toward the neck. Do this in a quiet and undisturbed space. Think of appreciation and gratitude for your body and the love in your life. Take at least 15 minutes to complete. Shower after completion, or use Ubtan Cleansing Grains to remove excess oil prior to bathing.
