A beautiful vintage 1940s reproduction of Rousseau’s Sleeping Gypsy (1897) tipped in on thick heavy paper with incredible patina. Color art plate (10 1/8" x 6 1/2") can be lifted at the bottom right corner to reveal commentary on the work in German.

The Sleeping Gypsy is an 1897 oil on canvas painting by the French Naïve artist Henri Julien Félix Rousseau (1844-1910). It is a fantastical depiction of a lion musing over a sleeping woman on a moonlit night. It is held by the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, to which it was donated by Mrs. Simon Guggenheim in 1939.
