A beautiful vintage 1940s reproduction of Rousseau’s Portrait of Pierre Loti (1891) tipped in on thick heavy paper with incredible patina. Color art plate (7 1/4" x 9") can be lifted at the bottom right corner to reveal commentary on the work in German.   

Henri Julien Félix Rousseau (1844-1910) was a French post-impressionist painter in the Naïve or Primitive manner. He was also known as Le Douanier, a humorous description of his occupation as a toll and tax collector.
