Max Michel Agostini is an artist born in 1914 in Paris, France. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and discovered a talent for Impressionism. Drafted into the French army for five years at the beginning of World War II, Agostini was made prisoner for three years. During the postwar period, he was noticed for his quality excellent portraits and landscape in Chateauroux, where he worked for several years.
Later he moved to Gargilesse in Berry and Provence. He died in January 1997, making some of his most notable works in hospitalization before his death. Recognized worldwide as one of the greatest colorist, he is most known for his impressionistic landscape, still life, and portrait paintings.
